Candice Rickelle Glover (born November 22, 1989) is an African American singer from St. Helena Island, South Carolina. She was the winner of the 12th seasonof American Idol.[1] This makes her the first female winner of the show since Jordin Sparks won in 2007. She is also the fourth African American Idol winner in history and the only winner has been auditioned three times, from season 9, 11, and to finally 12.
